The Games of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOCA) zone 7 concluded their festivities last Friday, May 10, in Seychelles, giving way to a brilliant medal table for Madagascar. This sporting competition, intended for young athletes from the region, highlighted the talent and determination of the Malagasy representatives, propelling them to the top of the general ranking with 40 medals. Madagascar was closely ahead of Mauritius which collected 32 medals. Seychelles completes the podium, illustrating the competitiveness and excellence of the region’s nations. On their return to the country, the young medalists were warmly welcomed at the headquarters of the Malagasy Olympic Committee on Saturday. “ We were well received in Seychelles during this first edition of the ANOCA Games. This game operates on a rotation system, and it was Madagascar’s turn to preside over zone 7 and organize the tournament. We are now waiting for the formalization after the zone meeting, and if Madagascar is designated to host the next games.
