A history teacher from the Federal District, supporter of President Lula (PT), was arrested on Monday afternoon (8) in front of the building of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) during an act called “Unshakable Democracy”, organized by the federal government , by the STF and by the presidency of the Congress in reference to the protests of January 8, 2023. The event took place in the Black Hall of the National Congress, very close to the place where the arrest was made.
Officers from the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) were called because the woman, who had a sticker from Lula’s campaign for last year’s elections on her car, was attacking judicial police officers, according to witnesses who witnessed to the scene. According to military police, the teacher threatened to contaminate the environment with anthrax gas, a biological agent used in terrorist attacks.
Inside the woman’s car the officers found pepper spray and a stun machine. The prisoner, who also committed the crime of insulting military and judicial police officers, was taken to the 5th Civil Police Commissariat. The case was subsequently forwarded to the Federal Police (PF).
In 2014, the teacher, a former candidate for district deputy of the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB), was involved in another scene of violence when she attacked a group of young PSDB voters in the parking lot of the University of Brasilia (UnB) . .
None of the actors who attended the “democratic act” organized by Lula, who defended a fight with zero tolerance against violence against institutions, spoke about the attack carried out by the president’s supporter with the threat of using a biological weapon – which done was It was pepper spray.
After applying for a position, the Federal District Department of Education sent the following note to People’s Gazette:
“The Department of Education informs that so far it has not officially received the document relating to the employee’s imprisonment. Therefore, as soon as this situation is made official, the document will be forwarded to the Education Inspectorate so that the facts can be properly investigated and has been verified the possible occurrence of a corrective infringement, pursuant to Complementary Law nº 840/2011”.
