Sofascore has just rated the second worst team in the first round of the EURO 2024 group stage.
After the end of the first round of the EURO 2024 group stage, the prestigious player rating site Sofascore has just released its assessment of the 24 teams. Among them, the striker duo Rasmus Hojlund and Romelu Lukaku appeared in the squad of the 11 worst players.
Sofascore gave Lukaku and Hojlund a score of 6 out of 10. Hojlund played poorly for Denmark. Striker Romelu Lukaku showed poor form and bad luck in the match between Belgium and Slovakia in Group E.
In just the first 45 minutes, Lukaku missed the opportunity to score three times despite facing the Slovakian team’s goalkeeper. In particular, at the end of the first half, Lukaku was “startled” even though his teammate’s pass was very favorable. In the second half, the striker improved his playing quality, but he was unlucky.
In the 56th minute, Romelu Lukaku received a head pass from Amadou Onana. He cushioned the ball into goalkeeper Dubravka’s net. However, after consulting VAR, the referee refused to recognize the goal because the Belgian team’s striker was offside.
In the 86th minute, Lois Openda tried to dribble the ball on the left wing before passing back inside. Lukaku chose a good position before successfully finishing. However, once again VAR denied the AS Roma striker’s goal. This time, Lukaku did not directly make a mistake, his teammate Lois Openda touched the ball in the previous situation.
In addition, Sofascore ranked the 11 worst players according to the 4-4-2 tactical diagram. Left midfielder Robertson (Scotland) only scored 6 points. On the right wing, Frankowski (Poland) scored 6.1 points in the loss to the Netherlands.
Sandro Altunashvili (Georgia) played very poorly and deserved a score of 4.1 in the match with Türkiye even though he only played 8 minutes. McGinn (Scotland) scored 6.1. In defense, the two midfielders are Porteus (Scotland) and Hranac (Czech). In the match against Portugal, Hranac scored an own goal and made a mistake to help Conceicao seal a 2-1 victory. He was scored 5.9 points. Meanwhile, Porteus received a red card after fouling Gundogan and received 5.1 points.
Defender Tierney also had a big responsibility for Scotland and received a score of 6.1. On the right wing, Konoplya (Ukraine) played poorly and was rated 5.9. He allowed the Romanian players to attack and score freely. Similarly, goalkeeper Lunin (Ukraine) made 2 mistakes and many poor saves. The Real Madrid goalkeeper only got 4.9 points.
