The journalist from Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA), Luís Caetano, became the new President of the board of the Angolan Sports Press Association (AIDA), after winning this Saturday’s election (3), for list B.
The leader of list B, defeated Honorato Silva by 89 – 75, during his term, Luís Caetano will focus on revitalizing AIDA, which went through several years of lethargy.
The new AIDA management team is made up of Luís Caetano, President of the Board, Neto Júnior, president of the General Assembly, Vaz Kinguri, vice-president, António Correia, vice-president for International Relations, Mirian Jai, vice-president for Administration and Finance, Jorge Guerra, Vice-president for training, Nilson Cláudio, general secretary, and Aguilar Virgílio, alternate.
The group is completed by Gabriel Afonso (vice-president), Domingos Quitumba, secretary, and António Malungo, alternate. Fortunato Ramos, president of the Fiscal Council, Paula Pande, secretary, and Paulo Caculo, rapporteur.
The elections at AIDA took place 24 years after the first election that elected Manuel Madureira, from Rádio Nacional de Angola, as president of the institution.
Luís Caetano is a member of Public Television of Angola, he was the face of the main sports programs for many years, as well as the station’s information director, he is currently responsible for TPA in Benguela.
Created in 1997 to converge Angolan sports journalists around the same objective, the organization was led by Manuel Madureira, from Rádio Nacional de Angola, and António Ferreira from Jornal de Angola.
