Ludi receives the Ethiopian Minister of Defense

In implementation of the royal instructions, the Minister Delegated to the Prime Minister in charge of the National Defense Department, Abd al -Latif Ludi, received today, Tuesday, the Minister of Defense of the Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Aisha Muhammad Musa, accompanied by an important delegation in the framework of a working visit to the Kingdom.

A communiqué of the National Defense Department stated that this visit, which falls within the framework of strengthening and diversifying bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Ethiopia, was marked by the signing of an agreement to cooperate in the military field, in the presence of Lieutenant General Mohamed Brigal, the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, commander of the southern region.

The communication indicated that this agreement concerns cooperation in the areas of training, training and exercises, scientific research, and military health, as well as exchanging experience and experience in various fields of common concern; It also provides for the creation of a joint military committee in order to define the axes of cooperation, which meets alternately in Rabat and Edis Ababa.

The same source added that the two sides reviewed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance it in areas of common concern, stressing the positive and constructive role of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in preserving stability, security and peace in the African continent.

This meeting was also an occasion to highlight the various initiatives of South-South and regional integration, which was launched under the leadership of the king, and made the Kingdom of Morocco a dynamic effectiveness in stability and common well-being for the benefit of the African continent.

At the end of this meeting, the two officials expressed their aspiration and their joint desire to support these relations in the future by activating the cooperation agreement in the field of defense signed today, and the regularity of exchanging visits between officials of the two countries.
