To proactively respond to the developments of tropical depressions at sea and heavy rains on land, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued a telegram requesting the Chairmen of the People’s Committees of provinces, cities, ministries and branches to direct functional units to strictly manage vessels going out to sea.
Units organize to count and notify owners of vehicles, captains of ships and boats operating at sea of the location, direction of movement and developments of tropical depressions so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas; be on guard against local thunderstorms.
Localities need to send forces to organize guarding, controlling, supporting, and guiding to ensure safe traffic for people and vehicles, especially at culverts, spillways, deep flooded areas, fast-flowing water, areas where landslides have occurred or are at risk of landslides.
The forces are determined not to allow people and vehicles to pass through if safety is not ensured; not to allow unfortunate human losses due to carelessness and subjectivity.
