Around 850 jobs will be offered at the Job Fair to be held in Torreón, with the participation of 30 companies. There are 339 vacancies for technicians and professionals.

José Luis Chapa Reséndez, Undersecretary of Employment and Productivity of the Ministry of Labor of Coahuila, said that salaries are offered that They range from 11,800 pesos per month to 45 thousand in managerial positionswhich are seven vacancies as plant directors, accounting managers, human resources managers, among others.

Guillermo Covarrubias Castro, regional coordinator of the National Employment Service (SNE), mentioned that There are vacancies for different levels of school preparation, there are 323 for primary and secondary level.but there are also opportunities for those with a bachelor’s or engineering degree.

He recalled that prior registration is required on the website www.ferias.empleo.gob.mx but indicated that if they cannot do so, there will be staff from the National Employment Service on site to register them upon entering the fair.

“It is important that you come with your CURP (Unique Population Registry Code), normally the official identification has the CURP, if you can bring the Social Security number for those who already have it, to be able to make the registration itself, it is also important that you bring your printed resume and your completed application so that you can leave them in the different employment options that may be available there,” he explained.

He indicated that the event is open to the public, from 18 years of age and older, and mentioned that the oldest person who has been hired for a vacancy is 70 years oldwho still have the potential and want to continue working.

Nuria Sánchez Valdez, operational director of the Torreón Job Exchange, said that there are 150 vacancies for vulnerable groups such as senior citizens, people with hearing disabilities, people in need of social reintegration and the LGBT community, and there are also more than 100 vacancies for work abroad.

Hugo Dávila Prado, coordinator of Mejora Coahuila in Torreón, and Mariano Serna Muñoz, president of Canaco, were also present at the presentation of the Job Fair.

The Job Fair will be held this Friday, August 30, at the Torreón Sports Unit gym, located on Revolución Boulevard and Paseo de la Rosita, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
