Dr. Health Minister called for the cooperation of the Health Ministry as well as the local administration to stop fake doctors and illegal treatment in Grameganj. Samant Lal Sen.
He said this in response to questions from journalists after visiting Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Thursday (March 7) morning.
Regarding fake doctors and illegal treatment, the minister said, if the chairman and members of parliament in charge of local government visit all those places and identify the problem and inform our ministry, then we will take action in this regard.
The minister said, “I have already said this in the parliament and I am still telling the media that the local leaders should inform us about this.” We will act quickly.
Earlier, the minister visited various wards and departments of the hospital. Meanwhile, the minister spoke to the patients who came to the hospital for service. He also talked to the officials and doctors about the various problems of the hospital.
After visiting the hospital, the minister also said, I have been to Osmani Hospital before. Now I came back with a responsibility. What I saw after visiting the hospital did not look good to me. We have to provide consultant, medicine and gynecology specialist doctors in our upazila hospitals. If the manpower is increased at the upazila level, there will be no need to lie on the floor of Osmani Hospital for treatment. I will start working towards that goal. I can’t do everything in one day. But I will take steps to solve all the problems gradually.
