Littler continues what he started: “nine-darter” and first title on the PDC circuit – Other sports – Sportacentrs.com

Darts star Luke Littler won his first senior title on Friday night, winning the World Series of Darts in Bahrain.

During the tournament, in one of the matches he finished a leg with the minimum number of nine darts. Littler made the so-called nine darter in the quarterfinals against Nathan Aspinal, moreover, in the first leg of the match.

In addition to defeating local athletes Aspinal and Gerwin Price (7-3), he had to face three-time champion and title holder Michael van Gerwen in the final. Playing the entire match with more confidence than his opponent, Littler won 8-5, thus clinching his first trophy on the PDC circuit.

Littler was much more productive in the game (95.15 points vs. 87.80) and his accuracy in doubles (30.77% 8/26) prevented him from achieving a more convincing victory.

The World Series of Darts is not a ranking tournament. In it, eight selected global dart throwers travel around the world to compete against eight other top dart throwers from a given continent or region. In addition to the tournament in Bahrain, the same is planned in the Netherlands, the United States, Copenhagen, Poland, Australia and New Zealand. The tournament will conclude with the final in Amsterdam.
