List of 5 Kopassus Groups, Number 4 Special Anti-terror Unit Headquartered in Cijantung

JAKARTA – Special Forces Command or known as Special Forces has five unit groups. One of them is the anti-terror unit headquartered in Heart of Heart East Jakarta.

Quoted from hmsejarah.fib.undip, Saturday (27/7/2024), Kopassus is an elite troop that is part of the Indonesian Army’s (AD) Main Combat Command (Kotama).

During its journey, it was recorded that this special forces unit belonging to the Indonesian Army changed its name several times, from the initial name of Territorial Command Unit III/Siliwangi (Kesko TT) until it was finally determined and has remained until now with the name Kopassus.

In its organizational structure, Kopassus also has five unit groups. These five consist of three combat groups, one special unit, and one education and training unit (Diklat).

The following is a brief description of the five units in Kopassus, namely:

1. Para Commando Group (Eka Wastu Baladhika), located in Serang, Banten

This unit consists of four battalions, namely:

– Battalion 11/Atulo Sena Baladhika is headquartered in Serang
– Battalion 12/Asabha Sena Baladhika is headquartered in Serang
– Battalion 13/Thikkaviro Sena Baladhika is headquartered in Serang
– Battalion 14/Bhadrika Sena Baladika is headquartered in Kemang, Bogor Regency

2. Para Commando Group (Dwi Dharma Bhirawa Yudha), located in Kartasura, Central Java

This unit has three battalions, namely:

– Battalion 21/Buhpala Yudha which is headquartered in Kartasura, Sukoharjo
– Battalion 22/Manggala Yudha which is headquartered in Kartasura
– Battalion 23/Dhanuja Yudha is headquartered in Kartasura

3. The Sandi Yudha Group (Tri Kottaman Wira Naraca Byuha) which is located in Cijantung, East Jakarta

This unit also has 3 battalions, namely:

– Battalion 31/Eka Sandhi Yudha Utama is headquartered in Cijantung
– Battalion 32/Apta Sandhi Prayudha Utama is headquartered in Cijantung
– Battalion 33/Wira Sandi Yudha Sakti is headquartered in Cijantung

4. Unit 81/Anti-terrorism Countermeasures (Ready Loyal Brave), located in Cijantung

– Battalion 811/Special Action is headquartered in Cijantung
– Battalion 812/Special Assistance is headquartered in Cijantung
– Kopassus Unit 81 Assistance Detachment is headquartered in Cijantung

5. Special Forces Education and Training Center (Tri Yudha Cakti), located in Batujajar, West Java

This is the headquarters of the Special Forces Education and Training Center (Pusdiklat) (Passus) in Batujajar, West Bandung Regency. This Pusdiklat consists of six schools, namely:

– Command School is headquartered in Batujajar
– Para School is headquartered in Batujajar
– Sandhi Yudha School is headquartered in Batujajar
– Specialization School is headquartered in Batujajar
– Raider School is headquartered in Cilacap, Central Java
– Special Combat School is headquartered in Batujajar
