Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock legend Elvis Presley, has died

The 54-year-old singer suffered a heart attack, confirmed her mother Priscilla Presley.

Elvis Presley’s only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, died this Thursday at the age of 54 after being hospitalized due to cardiac arrest.

«It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known,” said Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie’s mother, in a statement sent to the celebrity magazine People.

The message comes after the singer had been reported in critical condition after being induced into a coma and her mother asked people on social media to keep her “in their prayers.”

According to the American celebrity media TMZ, which also confirmed Presley’s death, she received first aid on Thursday and was assisted by paramedics at her home in Calabasas (California) after suffering heart problems.

Before being transferred, medical specialists managed to recover the singer’s pulse and once she arrived at the hospital her life was assisted with a pacemaker.

This week, the daughter of the rock and roll star was seen at the Golden Globes gala with her mother, Priscilla Presley, as companions of actor Austin Butler, who won the award for best drama actor for his role as Elvis. Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s film.

Lisa Marie Presley was the only daughter of the iconic singer and mother of four children, including the American actress and filmmaker Riley Keough.

Presley followed in his father’s footsteps and in 2003 released his first album, “To Whom it May Concern”, and two more productions followed, but since 2012 he had not released any new album.
