Now the actress has asked for divorce, as several US media unanimously report. Almost exactly two years ago, “Aquaman” star Jason Momoa (44) and his wife Lisa Bonet (56) publicly announced that they had separated.
The two stars had been together since 2005 but only got married in October 2017. They have two children together: daughter Lola, born in 2007, and son Nakoa-Wolf, born in 2008. Until their separation, the actors were considered one of Hollywood’s dream couples.
Momoa and Bonet have apparently been living apart for much longer than previously thought. They officially announced their separation to the public in January 2022, but in the documents presented Bonet indicates the date of separation as October 7, 2020, as “People” reports. The reason given in the request for dissolution of marriage is the “irreconcilable differences” that are often common in Hollywood divorces.
Neither party asks for alimony payments and Bonet also insists on joint custody of the children. Further details are not known. However, in their joint statement from January 2022, the couple had already indicated that they separated on good terms. «The love between us continues and develops as it wants to be recognized and experienced. We give each other the freedom to be who we learn to become…” she read on Instagram at the time.
