A few days ago, the World Hockey Championship ended in Prague, and former soccer player David Limberský (40) also decided to soak up the atmosphere of the home championship, going to the match against the USA. However, it got a little out of hand and the organizers from the O2 arena had to call the police.
The former captain of football Pilsen seems a bit like a magnet for problems. Already in the course of his professional career, he caused several scandals, because of which he turned some football fans against him, and not much has changed even after hanging his football boots on a nail.
“Last week on Thursday during the match between the Czech Republic and America, based on a notification from the organizers, we dealt with the inappropriate behavior of one of the guests in the hockey hall, where we assisted in taking him out of the hall,” Prague police spokesman Jan Daněk told CNN Prima NEWS. However, the birds for the officers did not end there.
“Subsequently, this man tried to go back. He jumped the turnstiles, so he had to be restricted in his personal freedom using coercive means. As he was under the influence of alcohol, when he breathed in more than two per thousand, he had to be taken to the anti-alcohol detention station.” the spokesman added.
The rioter Limberský himself later revealed his version of this story. “Yes, they took me out because of a misunderstanding. I wanted to go back because I had a valid ticket, but they said no. I felt that I had done nothing. Based on that, I was taken into custody,” the footballer confirmed to CNN Prima NEWS.
