Lightning struck several main lift facilities in Pamporovo. On Monday, the ski area was partially open from 11:45.
“Pamporovo” JSC reported that work is being done to remove the damage. It is planned that from tomorrow, February 13, the entire ski area will be restored and opened, Marijan Belyakov, executive director of the company, told BTA.
During a thunderstorm that broke out in the mountain area in recent days, lightning struck the lift area. Most of the thunderstorms affected equipment in the Snezhanka Peak area, but other lift facilities were also damaged. Part of the ski slopes in Pamporovo are not working after the heavy wet snow and are subject to processing.
The resort warns skiers to obey all signs and plates in the ski area. Starting tomorrow, the zone will operate with normal business hours.
