It also ensures that it can perform physical tasks. He won’t be too bad with this, but if he can move around and maybe even gain limbs in the future (not even necessarily in human form, but maybe to make it easier for people to socialize with him) he will suddenly be able to perform many more tasks. Taking a bottle of Coke and pouring a glass, helping you look for something you’ve lost, to name just a few simple tasks. And you can then take it further and further.

If you look at the cutting-edge androids that they have in Japan (mainly but certainly not only) in Japan, or in general in terms of robotics, they’re already doing really interesting things there.

In Japan you see it used, for example, in some shops and restaurants, where Pepper shows you around and you fill in things on her tablet. But here in the Netherlands there are also restaurants that have a service robot with a screen with a friendly face that brings you your food. Your smart hub can’t do this, and you can expand it further with technological improvements.

By the way, I only mention Japan because I’ve only been to Japan and Vietnam, and Vietnam doesn’t have it. So it may be that there are more places where this is the case, particularly China and South Korea, I can imagine this is still used. But I don’t know for sure.

I don’t know if this robot is really the beginning of all this. Good thing it will fail and take years to get bigger. Especially in the West people are still very cautious, although it seems that they are becoming less and less. Whether it’s good or bad, I’ll leave it open. But I’m curious to know how it will end.
