French football club Lens has joined the list of clubs seeking to sign Moroccan international Sohaib Driouch, striker for Dutch team Excelsior, during the current summer transfer period, after his brilliance last season with his team.
“Hesport” learned, from a source close to the Olympic national team player, that Lens Club contacted officials of the Dutch team in order to make an official offer to include Al-Dariush in the current summer Mercato.
The same source explained that Al-Dariush and his agent are studying the offers that the player has received during the current period, in light of the desire of a group of clubs to include him inside and outside the walls of the “Eredivisie”.
A few days ago, Hesport reported that Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, Seville, Spain, and Sporting Lisbon, Portugal, were interested in Dariush’s services to contract with him in the summer Mercato.
Al-Driouch is thinking about the first team
Suhaib Driouch confirmed that shining with the “Atlas Lions” is his highest goal in his football career, stressing the amount of responsibility he feels when he wears the Moroccan national team shirt.
Al-Dariush said in a statement exclusively to Hesport: “I will not exaggerate if I say that my highest goal in my football career is to shine with the national team, regardless of my path with the clubs.”
The same speaker added: “I work hard, whether with the club or with the Olympic team. I want to be better every day than the one before. Football teaches you many things, because it is a way of life and not just on the field.”
He concluded: “National football is developing significantly, and I am proud to play for the national team. It is an honor and a duty. You must always be at your best. As for the offers, I cannot talk about them in detail. What I am saying is that I study my steps and decisions well.”
The Dutch Excelsior striker participated in 26 matches during the last football season in the Dutch League, during which he scored 6 goals and made 6 assists. His contract with this team extends until the summer of 2025.
It is noteworthy that Moroccan international Sohaib Driouch, 22 years old, played 9 matches with the national Olympic team, and has great chances of ensuring participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with the national team team, Tariq Sektiwi.
