In the program we have several nominees for this year’s Grammy and other awards and now also the global legend of rock and funk music Lenny Kravitz. We have tried for his appearance several times in the past, and this year it finally happened.” said festival director Zlata Holušová.

Lenny Kravitz has rarely performed at European festivals in recent years. However, during his upcoming tour, he will perform in the Czech Republic at Colors of Ostrava. His performance in Dolní Vítkovice will feature songs from the new album Blue Electric Light, which is scheduled for release in March 2024.

Lenny Kravitz is a nominee and recipient of many awards. Between 1999 and 2002, he won four consecutive Grammys for Male Rock Vocal Performance, creating an unprecedented record. His first funk-rock album Let Love Rule from 1989 brought him success, on which he recorded most of the instruments himself. New York punk legend Gogol Bordello is returning to the festival after 18 years, the Afrobeat band Bixiga 70 from Brazil and Galician musician Mercedes Peón were also announced. Rapper Genesis Owusu will arrive from Australia, and Murdo Mitchell, a songwriter and singer with a raw voice, will arrive from Glasgow. In 2024, the previously announced Sam Smith, rock legend Queens of the Stone Age, British producer and singer James Blake, multi-instrumentalist Dennis Lloyd and the Texas trio Khruangbin will perform.
