With Uruguay as the guest country, the Illustrious Municipality of Ñuñoa and its Cultural Corporation present the third edition of the Ñuñoa International Book and Reading FestivalFILL 2024, which will take place from February 29 to March 3 in front of the Town Hall Palace of the commune.
In addition to the book presentations with the Uruguayan gueststhis renewed version of the traditional Ñuñoa Book Fair will feature national exhibitors in different activities focused on debate, literary creation and reading promotion, through free training sessions and workshops aimed at different audiences.
Among the training activities, the Festival offers fanzine, creative writing and reading workshops for all audiences. In parallel, it will also provide training sessions aimed at mediators and agents of the book chain, whose topics address the challenge of learning to read in deaf children and young people; dialogues of mediators from the Southern Cone; how you can make a living from literature; about reading promotion and how a book is mediated; the importance of representation in children’s and youth literature.
Both the workshops and the training days are free character and with limited spaces. The epicenter of FILL 2024 will be Ñuñoa Squarebut these activities will also extend to various sectors of the commune, deployed in the offices of the Cultural Corporation, the House of Culture, the Literary Space, and Neighborhood Associations, to encourage the participation of the residents of the sector.
