Le Mans Circuit Becomes Favorite, Maverick Vinales Optimistic About Looking at the 2024 French MotoGP

LE MANS – Maverick Vinales, Aprilia racer, remains full of confidence in the face French MotoGP 2024 despite experiencing a decline in performance in the previous series in Spain. He believes his RSGP-24 motorbike is suitable for the Le Mans Circuit and is ready to show its true power.

Vinales has shown an extraordinary performance in the 2024 United States MotoGP race. Achieving pole position in qualifying at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) and dominance in the main race reflects his strength.

However, in the 2024 Spanish MotoGP, Vinales experienced difficulties. He failed to finish in the sprint and only finished ninth in the main race at the Jerez Circuit.

However, Vinales is optimistic that he will bounce back in the upcoming 2024 French MotoGP. According to him, his RS-GP24 motorbike feels comfortable and suits the characteristics of the Le Mans Circuit, which gives him the confidence to perform strongly.

“Le Mans is a track where I always feel competitive. “I feel this year will be a special year because of the level we have reached and because I feel comfortable with the RS-GP24,” said Vinales, quoting from Speedweek, Wednesday (8/5/2024).

“I think Le Mans will be one of the tracks where we will be the strongest. “The atmosphere in France is amazing, as is the track,” he added.

In the previous year, Vinales performed solidly at Le Mans and managed to achieve sixth starting position in qualifying among the dominance of Ducati riders. Despite finishing ninth in the sprint, Vinales hopes to put in a better performance in the main race.

Currently, Vinales sits in fifth place in the 2024 MotoGP standings, with 63 points under his name. The 2024 French MotoGP is scheduled to take place on May 10-12 as the fifth series of 21 series this season.
