On February 2, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet led the Vietnamese delegation to attend the Launching Ceremony of the ASEAN-China Year of People-to-People Exchange 2024 in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China.
Attending the Launching Ceremony were Member of the Party Central Committee, Chinese State Councilor Kham Di Cam, Lao Deputy Prime Minister Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, and representatives of governments, ministries, and local branches of ASEAN countries and China.
The launching ceremony is one of the key activities to implement the decision of the 26th ASEAN-China Summit (Jakarta, September 2023) to promote people-to-people exchanges and deepen cultural exchanges. and tighten the friendship between ASEAN countries and China.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Kham Di Cam affirmed that the ASEAN-China friendship is a model among the most successful neighboring relationships in the Asia-Pacific region.
