As is tradition at La Yein Fonda, the show includes artists who already have a long career, as well as other promising artists who are developing their musical project. On this occasion, from September 18 to 21, on the stage of this emblematic fonda, in addition to the traditional show by Los Tres, the following will perform: Gepe, Floresalegría and Olivia and Nicanor, together with Mi Perro Chocolo and Sinergia Kids with Tía Pucherito, for the little ones.
The renowned national singer Gepe has positioned himself as one of the most important and innovative voices in Latin America. His influence of pop with electronic bases, Andean music and the New Chilean Song, have also led him down the path of national folklore with great success.
“We are going to La Yein Fonda with a full band, and we want to put on a show that is a dance party with references to traditional Chilean music that is always with us, whether it be cueca or tonada, all mixed with songs from our own career,” the singer-songwriter says.
The fresh sound of the Floresalegría quartet also emerges on the stage of La Yein Fonda, whose indie rock and pop proposal has been praised by critics and the public. Their nostalgic and clever lyrics go through various emotions, managing to captivate the audience from the first chords.
“It is amazing for us to be part of this emblematic party. We are very happy and have many expectations, since it will be in an open place, with many people around, so it will be another way to share and for our music to be received. We are working on our repertoire to get closer to this date of Fiestas Patrias; La Yein Fonda is a stage of great revelry and fun and that is only an omen that we are going to have a great time,” says Pamela Flores, vocalist and leader of the band.
The Henriquez Petinellis brothers’ musical talent and passion have spread to the new generations. Olivia and Nicanor are a duo in formation, made up of daughter Álvaro Henríquez and son Gonzalo Henriquez, who perform songs by Los Tres, The Beatles, boleros and cuecas. “The Yein Fonda is a stage that has been present in our lives, so we will go to a place where we grew up and where we have wanted to be since we were little,” says Olivia.
“We take it as part of our growth process, we are rehearsing a lot and fine-tuning the repertoire with songs known by everyone, so that the people who are in the National Stadium Park can enjoy the afternoon singing with us,” adds Nicanor.
On the other hand, boys and girls will be able to spend great moments with two great exponents of this segment, such as Sinergia Kids and Mi Perro Chocolo.
Sinergia Kids will be bringing one of the most beloved children’s figures of the 80s, Aunt Pucherito, to this iconic party.
“For us it is a tremendous pride to be in this new version of La Yein Fonda, it has been a decade since we were in this important event and for us it is great to return with this children’s project that has been so successful and even more so with Tía Pucherito, who has brought a special color, that nostalgia, that joy, that joviality that it has and that makes the show so entertaining and exciting for all generations, so we promise you a spectacular presentation, full of music, dance, rock and emotions, you are going to have a great time with your family,” promises Don Rorro, leader of Sinergia Kids.
Mi Perro Chocolo and his friends will arrive at the National Stadium Park with all their adventures and songs that have dazzled children. Their videos have more than 6 billion views on YouTube and on this occasion they will present a special repertoire inspired by national folklore that brings ‘chocolovers’ closer to our roots.
“The music and songs of Mi Perro Chocolo contribute to the cultural development of the Chilean family, especially children. In this show we will have a Chilote waltz, a Rapa Nui song, a saya, a cueca, a guaracha and a Mapuche song, among other rhythms, which have been composed with childlike timbres and the seal of entertainment that characterizes this beloved character,” says Patricio Gamonal, producer of Mi Perro Chocolo.
On the stage of local artists, some musicians from Ñuñoa will also be joining in, who will also light up the family scene, including: Cata Navarro, Villa Millie, Los Beetles con 2E, Juramento Villano and Samid Dimas.
The Yein Fonda will take place from September 18 to 21 at the National Stadium Park, in what represents its return to the commune where it was born in 1996, and as part of the celebration of 130 years of Ñuñoa. In addition to the show on its central stage, the venue will have an entrepreneurs’ section, kitchens, food trucks, children’s games, a heritage tour and a dance floor.
