Kolonaki / Military grenades were found in a house – The surrounding roads are closed

New alarm in the center of Athens after detection of two military grenades in a house at 26 Skoufa Street.

According to what ertnews.gr reports, the grenades were planted under the floor and were found during renovation by the crew working on the apartment.

The site has been cordoned off by the police since the junction of Skoufa with Voukourestiou Street while army pyrotechnicians arrived to receive them.

Earlier, the road was temporarily closed Stournari in Exarchia as well a controlled explosion took place by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit on a suspicious bag found next to the Polytechnic building. As TEEM found, the bag ultimately did not contain anything suspicious.
