Kohli in best form for finals: Rohit – 2024-06-28 20:18:51

India has reached the final of this year’s T20 World Cup with an incredible performance. But there is a void in the hearts of the fans. Virat Kohli’s run drought is worrying them. He also did not see a run with the bat in Thursday’s semi-final against South Africa. England pacer Rhys Topley broke his stumps on 9 runs.

Kohli scored the highest 37 runs in this tournament against Bangladesh. The second best run was 24 runs against Afghanistan. He could not open the book of runs against Australia and USA.

Kohli scored just 75 runs in seven innings at an average of 10.71. But India captain Rohit Sharma believes it is not too late to see Kohli in his best form.

Rohit said, ‘A very good player. Any player goes through such periods. We understand his class. When playing for 15 years, form is never an issue. He might be saving it for the final.’

India will play the final against South Africa in Barbados on Saturday. Rohit said about the fight between the two unbeaten teams, ‘We were very calm. We understand the meaning of the final. It is important that we remain calm, as it will help you make better decisions. We’ve been pretty slow and that’s what got us here. We will try our best. We can all hope for another good performance in the final.’
