AMMAN – Klamby, a local Indonesian fashion brand, held an action in the Palestinian refugee camp in Jordan. Together with HPMI (Indonesian Student Association) Jordan, this action was carried out on July 25.

As reported by the ITS News website, according to Psychology Today, childhood memories will shape a person’s personality. Carrying the title Small Steps Matters, the action was carried out as a step to foster a sense of brotherhood and their childhood euphoria.

“The volunteer team coordinated with local teachers to ensure the activity ran smoothly,” said Fawwaz Hamid Hatta, a student at Applied Science Private University, Amman, who was involved in the activity.

The event was held in a Palestinian refugee camp in one of the cities in Jordan, Irbid. The arrival of the HPMI Jordan volunteers was warmly welcomed by the teachers and administrators of the refugee camp. Upon arrival, the volunteers immediately prepared the event and decorated the hall to make it look attractive in the eyes of the Palestinian children.

While waiting for the children to arrive, the team coordinated with the camp administrators to ensure the activities ran smoothly and conducively.

“Shortly after, we invited the children to enter the hall. After all the children entered the hall, the event immediately began with a dance performance from the children and a speech in front of the volunteers and teachers in the refugee camp. The beautiful speech really touched the feelings of the listeners, with its content describing the current condition of Palestine,” said Lista Nisrina Safety, a student who was also involved in the event.

The event continued with group painting. Their paintings reflected high hopes.

“I want to be someone who gives a lot of charity. I want to be a doctor. We are happy to get a lot of new friends at this event,” said a child named Adyam when asked about his dreams.

After painting, the volunteer team invited the children to play table games together and continued with singing.
