Charles, 75, looked emotional and waved to the crowd as he and Queen Camilla were driven in a Bentley from his Clarence House residence to Buckingham Palace, where he has since transferred to a helicopter expected to take him to the Sandringham estate to continue his cancer treatment.
On Tuesday afternoon, ‘prodigal son’ Prince Harry arrived from California at London’s Clarence House to visit his father, a reunion that was immediately buzzing. He spent about 45 minutes with his father before Charles left for the palace.
Buckingham Palace, meanwhile, remains vague about the exact health status of the British monarch. The only thing that was announced is that the king has cancer. It was not stated what type of cancer or what stage the disease is in, although British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak did report that the cancer was detected “at an early stage”.
