The midfielder of “Napoli” and the Georgian national team Khvicha Kvaratskheliya shared his memories about his life in Moscow during a 6-month loan at “Lokomotiv” in the spring of 2019.
“When I went to Russia, to Moscow, I was 17 years old, I was very young. And I was completely alone. My parents were nervous. My father was very worried. And it was difficult for me. I was stressed because I left my family. I was lonely. I lived in a training center. I didn’t have any friends. It was just me and the security guards. The rest of the players lived elsewhere. And it was a little scary place! I’m not kidding! It was in a deep forest and you couldn’t go out for a walk because there were some dogs and stuff like that.
I did not go to the center of Moscow. Nowhere. There was no light in the training center at night. Sometimes I practiced alone at night. But without light. Sometimes a security guard came. It was also scary for him in the dark”, – The Players’ Tribune quoted the words of Kvaratskhelia.
Let’s remind that Khvicha Kvaratskheliya played 7 games in all competitions and scored one goal in the team of “Lokomotiv” Moscow. In the summer of 2019, he moved to the Georgian Kazan “Rubin”.
From the middle of 2022, Kvaratzhelia is a player of the Italian club “Napoli”.
