After the 4-2 win against Newcastle – Liverpool only managed to distance themselves in the final quarter – there was another surprising moment at Anfield. Jürgen Klopp approached the spy’s head to celebrate the victory with them. But amidst the applause the German lost his wedding ring.

He immediately began searching for it, in a panic and in the pouring rain, but finding the ring proved easier said than done. She then called an administrator: four eyes see more than two. But in the end it was a cameraman, who had always filmed the scene, who recovered the ring. Klopp was visibly happy, he gave the jewel a kiss, hugged the cameraman and continued the celebrations with his fans.

“I don’t like jewellery, but I really can’t live without this ring,” Klopp told Sky Sports. “The cameraman who found him is my hero. Already the hero of 2024. (laughs).
