The Kero Kilamba and Nova Vida hypermarkets, two of the 12 existing ones, reopened this Friday, in Luanda, with the guarantee a total of 1,700 direct jobs.
The three hundred new jobs will have their first job for the first time, said the director of the Nova Vida store establishment, William Luamba.
According to William Luamba, speaking to Notícias de Angola, the 300 new employees are distributed across this supermarket and Kilamba, now under the management of the Accord group, favoring 80% of national products, with greater emphasis on fresh products.
“In terms of what we want to offer, a study was made of the products that customers need most, giving priority to varieties, in order to satisfy consumer desires”, guaranteed the manager.
Likewise, he made it known that the area of non-food goods was also reviewed, particularly the bookstore, which has books from various Angolan authors, in order to respond to didactic and literary issues in particular.
The purpose of recruiting new employees is to reduce the unemployment rate in the country.
The reopening ceremony was attended by the General Director of Kero Rui Gonçalves, the General Secretary of Commerce Amadeu Nunes as well as the Governor of Luanda Ana Carvalhos.
