The Kazakhstan women’s sabre fencing team achieved significant success by winning a silver medal at the Asian Championships held in Kuwait, Liter.kz reports with reference to the portal Olympic.kz.
The team included Aigerim Sarybay, Anastasia Gulik, Karina Dospay and Jasmine Kapydzhi, who demonstrated a high level of skill at prestigious competitions.
“The Kazakhstani women successfully passed all stages of the tournament and reached the final, where they had to fight with the strongest team of China. Despite the defeat in the final match, the result of the Kazakhstani team became historic for the country, since previously the best achievement was only third place,” the NOC of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted.
