Kazakhstanis continue to set important trends during Nauryz

Nauryz Meiramy is sweeping across the country. This is how one can characterize the scale of the celebrations of this holiday of spring and renewal, Liter.kz reports.

March 21. According to the calendar, Nowryza is celebrated as the Day of Solidarity. This day brings memories of the past, an understanding of the importance of the contribution of our ancestors to the formation and preservation of the present. Yntymak kuni is a time of remembrance of historical events and achievements of the nation that are important for the country, and also symbolizes the importance of uniting various groups and social strata in the country.

It is worth noting that Kazakhstanis of all nationalities and ethnicities celebrate this holiday together with great joy. One of the striking examples was the day of national clothing, which started on March 18. On that day, the rescuers of Eastern Kazakhstan celebrated the spring equinox by unfurling a real meiramy. Firefighters and rescuers dressed in national costumes and held “tusau kesu” rituals, competitions in kazakhsha kures, kol kures, arcan tartu and weight lifting. Beautiful and large yurts have been erected on the territory of the fire station. There were congratulations and songs. Emergency service employees turned into chefs and prepared traditional Nauryz-kozhe and holiday treats.

Celebrations in a similar format are held in all organizations of the country. Athletes also traditionally celebrate Nauryz with their families. UFC fighter Asu Almabaev said that his family has its own holiday traditions.

I celebrate Nauryz like any other Kazakh. I drink nauryz kozhe and do many other things. I’ll say briefly: we celebrate well,” said Asu Almabaev.
