Kazakh female boxer attacks tennis players

Kazakh boxer Balausa Muzdiman made a harsh statement in Instagramwhere she criticized famous tennis players Elena Rybakina and Yulia Putintseva for their refusal to participate in the Olympic Games. Muzdiman expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the athletes chose to perform at the tournament in Cincinnati instead of defending the sporting honor of Kazakhstan at the Olympics, Liter.kz reports.

“They do whatever they want because they are legionnaires. If they were born in Kazakhstan, regardless of their nationality, they would always be drawn to their homeland,” Balausa wrote in her post, emphasizing her opinion that athletes who grew up and were brought up in Kazakhstan would be more devoted to the country and its interests in the international arena.

This statement caused heated discussions in sports circles and among fans. Opinions were divided: some supported Muzdiman’s criticism, noting the importance of patriotism and participation in major sporting events for the country, while others defended Rybakina and Putintseva, pointing out their right to choose in deciding on priorities in their careers.

Elena Rybakina, Kazakhstan’s number one tennis player and one of the world’s leading tennis players, along with Yulia Putintseva, also recognized on the international stage, have represented Kazakhstan in major tournaments, including the Olympic Games, on numerous occasions. However, their decision to withdraw from the current Olympics in favor of the tournament in Cincinnati came as a surprise to many and caused a wide resonance.

Balausa Muzdiman, in addition to her boxing career, is known for her active position on social networks and has repeatedly made statements regarding the sports and social life of Kazakhstan. Her current commentary once again emphasized the importance of the topic of patriotism in Kazakhstani sports and raised questions about the role of legionnaires in national teams.

Earlier, Kazakhstani tennis players Elena Rybakina and Yulia Putintseva withdrew from the Olympics due to illness, which caused a wave of indignation on social networks. Apologies and explanations only intensified the wave of hate against the athletes.

The Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan reported that tennis players Rybakina and Putintseva are still weak and will not perform in Toronto.

Later it became known that Rybakina and Putintseva would perform in the USA.

Yulia Putintseva, who is paired with Canadian Leila Fernandez, made a successful start to her performance at the tournament in Cincinnati, USA.
