Katrinis: ND and Mitsotakis are isolated at the level of society

New Democracy and Mr. Mitsotakis are isolated at the societal level, as more than eight out of ten citizens believe that the government has spread a large veil of cover-up over the crash of Tempoargued his parliamentary representative PASOK – Change Movement Michalis Katrinisspeaking to ERT.

The parliamentary representative of PASOK – KINAL argued that “because from the first minute of this unprecedented tragedy, there was an attempt to cover it up, since the government’s main concern was to communicate and support the theory of human error only, in order to shake off the responsibilities attributed to the competent ministers and the government”.

According to him, “the same logic of human error was immediately adopted by Mr. Mitsotakis, both in the cabinet and in his first appearance at the scene of the tragedy in Tempi. The same logic is adopted by the inquiry committee controlled by New Democracy in the conclusion it issued. So, we see that from the beginning there is a concerted strategy not to attribute responsibility to the political leaders of the New Democracy and the government, instead of shedding light on this unspeakable tragedy and taking responsibility, all it cares about is to protect Mr. Karamanlis, that’s why he’s trashing the area, with the consequence that the data will be falsified.”

At the same time, he said that “the universal demand, not of the parties, but of the citizens, is for justice to move quickly and to assign the responsibilities where they really belong”.

Commenting on statements by the Minister of State Makis Voridis that PASOK serves publishing interests, Michalis Katrinis said, among other things, that “PASOK only defends the interests of the Greek citizens and agrees with the opinion of the many who want this cover-up case to be changed in clarification and immediate attribution of responsibilities”.
