Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, revealed this Friday, March 22, 2024 that she suffers from cancer.
In a video announcing the fact, Kate revealed that she is in the “early stages” of treatment.
“In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was thought to be non-cancerous,” said Kate, 42, who has been out of the public eye since.
The surgery was successful, he said. However, tests after the operation found that there was cancer.
“Therefore, my medical team recommended that I undergo preventive chemotherapy treatment and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” he mentioned.
“We hope you understand that as a family we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” she said.
The Princess of Wales underwent an operation of which no details have been revealed and which has kept her away from public events ever since.
