What happens
- Ka sker is BA’s new column, in which we ask interested people a series of fixed questions.
- Do you want to contribute to the column? Contact journalist Siv Berg Lutro at [email protected].
- Do you have an event that you would like more people to know about? Add the event to BA’s cultural calendar! You can do it via this link.
– What can the audience expect?
– New Year’s atmosphere, good music and fantastic soloists such as Helge Jordal, Sjur Hjeltnes, Lydia Hoen Tjore and Mari Bølgen Halvorsen. Gallop with champagne and of course Nystemten!
– How did the idea of giving away 300 tickets come about?
– During the year there was a lot of focus on expensive time, inflation, interest rate hikes, mental health and loneliness. We did a quick survey and found that New Year’s Eve is actually the day of the year when loneliness takes over.
– In previous years there has been a lot of talk, including in the media, about taking care of each other on Christmas Eve. This clearly had a positive effect.
– When we contacted the Church City Mission in Bergen and told them that we wanted to give them 200 tickets for this year’s New Year’s concert, the joy was great. They confirmed to us that New Year’s Eve is the most difficult day of the year. We also donated 100 tickets to the Alver Volunteer Center. It’s a pleasure to be able to contribute.
– Which Bergen would you like to have dinner with – and why?
-Helge Jordal. He is knowledgeable, handsome and full of life experience.
– Which cultural actor in our district impressed you the most this year?
– Bergen has a fantastic dance environment! Michelle and Marcus were just named talents of the year by the Norwegian Dance Association. They are 16 years old and can be met in Grieghallen on New Year’s Eve.

– How do you handle criticism (such as negative reviews)?
– Unfortunately I cannot comment. I play in a band and unfortunately it is not in the media’s interest to review. Take it!
– Have you had a turning point in your life?
– Yes, actually. I was one of those who purchased a cabin during the corona era. And it’s a joy. I didn’t know weed was so fun. Help me while I wait for spring!
– What is the most embarrassing incident you have experienced in public that you can now look back on and laugh about?
– I was responsible for an event in Gamlehaugen. Mads Berven roared at HMK Harald “The King of Hallaisen, is everything alright?” (After telling Mads countless times that he should just play, not give his lines).

– Which rumor about you would you like to be true?
– That I was the first man on the moon!
– Who would have been the Bergenser of the year, if you could choose?
– Trond Mohn. He makes an offer. He sees things that others don’t see.
