A resident of Karaganda complained about the conditions at the Maykuduk children’s hospital, Liter.kz reports.

The administration of the children’s hospital assured that the institution is gradually replacing the furniture in the wards.

Over the past two years, 150 new beds with mattresses have been purchased for young patients. The bedside tables have also been completely updated in 2022. By the end of this year, it is planned to allocate additional funds to update cabinet furniture in the hospital’s departments, the medical institution said.

According to them, due to the seasonality of diseases and overcrowding in the hospital, they are forced to retrofit the wards with old beds for persons accompanying children.

The rapid wear and tear of furniture in wards is also due to the manner in which they are used by the patients themselves. In connection with this, the hospital administration urges parents with children to be more careful with the furniture used during treatment, the medical institution emphasized.
