An accused of firing on robbery resistance near Gulbai within the limits of Site B police station in Kemari district of Shahr Quaid has been arrested after nine days.
Major Saad, who was injured in the firing while resisting the robbery, died after being under treatment for five days.
SSP Kemari Faizan Ali told Independent Urdu that ‘the accused was arrested with serious injuries, raids are being conducted to arrest the other accomplice of the accused. The accused was arrested nine days later after examining the CCTV footage of all the areas adjacent to the crime scene.
“A murder weapon, a number of pistols with rounds were recovered from the possession of accused Usman alias Chatia.”
During the investigation, the accused confessed to firing at Major Saad Sheikh and said that on the day of the incident, a colleague named Altaf was with him. went, later snatched the motorcycle from a passerby and escaped at some distance.’
Major Saad Sheikh was seriously injured due to the firing of the accused and he was shifted to Trauma Senar Civil Hospital in critical condition where he was operated on for four hours.
