Kamala Harris’ support for Israel is also based on her husband, Doug Emoff, the first Jewish couple in the White House. Moreover, he also signed the missiles fired by Israel at civilians in Gaza.
Kamala Harris’ 5 Policies to Support Israel If Elected US President
1. Support Israel to Win Hamas

Following Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks on Israel, Harris was initially a strong supporter of Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas — dismissing suggestions that the Biden administration might condition aid to the country in November, saying “we will not place any conditions on the support we provide to Israel to defend itself.”
Harris does not have the long-standing relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that President Biden does, but she met with Israel’s Benny Gantz at the White House while he was serving in the country’s war cabinet in March and met with Israeli President Herzog earlier this year on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
2. Encourage the Flow of Aid to Gaza and Palestine

But in December, Harris began delving into Middle East diplomacy during a trip to Dubai for a United Nations climate conference where she also met with leaders from the region; she took a tougher tone on Israel than many other senior administration officials had at the time — declaring “too many innocent Palestinians have been killed” and saying the administration believed “Israel must do more to protect innocent civilians.”
In a speech in Selma, Alabama, in March, marking the anniversary of Bloody Sunday, Harris again criticized Israel — saying her administration “must do more to significantly increase the flow of aid — no excuses” and calling on Israel to open border crossings and ensure humanitarian workers are not targeted.
In an interview published earlier this month, Harris said that young Americans protesting the war in Gaza “exemplify exactly what human emotion should look like” and that while she “totally rejects” some of their statements, she understands “the emotion behind it.”
3. Continue Arming Israel

US Vice President Kamala Harris said she would not change US President Joe Biden’s policy of arming Israel, in her latest rejection of calls to curb arms transfers or end them altogether.
Harris was pressed on the issue during a CNN interview with running mate Tim Walz — her first since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee last month.
