Kahramaa calls for rationalizing water consumption

The National Office of Electricity and Potable Water (Water Sector) called on various actors, male and female, to work to rationalize the consumption of potable water, and to use it in a responsible and rational manner, within the framework of preserving water resources and ensuring the continuity of supplying the population with potable water, in preparation for the blessed Eid Al-Adha.

The office highlighted, in a statement, that, “Given the heat wave that our country is experiencing during the summer period, which coincides with the blessed Eid al-Adha, the demand for drinking water has witnessed a significant increase in light of the current circumstance characterized by a sharp decline in water resources due to weak rainfall and successive years of drought.” Our country has known it recently.”

The same source confirmed that this situation contributed to the decline in the capacity of dams and the decline in the level of water resources in the Kingdom, which requires collective mobilization in order to rationalize the use of drinking water.

On the other hand, the office indicated that “in order to avoid suffocation of liquid disinfection networks with solid waste resulting from the process of slaughtering and cleaning sacrifices at the level of the centers where the office is responsible for arranging the liquid disinfection service, the office has worked to acquire and distribute plastic bags designated for collecting Eid al-Adha waste.” Participants, to encourage them to collect waste and avoid throwing it in the disinfection nets.

The office stated that its teams remain at the disposal of male and female citizens, and are “working hard to secure the supply of drinking water and liquid disinfection services in the best conditions.”
