The event will take place at a time when Value Added Tax “VAT” is expected to come into force in October 2019.
Given the challenges that companies will be subject to, the VAT Workshop aims to present this new element of the Angolan Tax System to the participating public; Provide input on how companies can position themselves in the face of the transformations that will result from the implementation of this tax; it will also aim to train the public on ways to respond to market demands resulting from the implementation of the tax;
According to the Commercial Manager of KM Investimentos, the group responsible for holding the Event, Edgar Felisberto, with the adoption of VAT, companies and institutions will be subject to adopting internal procedures and an information system that respond to the requirements related to settlement, report and payment of this tax, “also considering the increase, even if not substantial, in the costs of implementing these procedures and information systems”.
“They will also be subject to the difficult task of retaining customers with the increase in the price of goods and services now with the inclusion of VAT in invoices”, said Edgar Felisberto.
