K-4386 Typhoon-VDV is a 4×4 wheeled armored vehicle designed and manufactured by Remdiesel, a subsidiary of Kamaz, for the Russian airborne forces.
K-4386 can perform tasks such as moving troops, transporting goods as well as installing various combat systems and weapons.

According to the manufacturer, the vehicle is bulletproof and mineproof like a mine-resistant and ambush-resistant armored vehicle (MRAP). This is also the only MRAP-type armored vehicle in the world that can be parachuted from a transport aircraft.
The K-4386 Typhoon-VDV is designed with the engine in the front, the cockpit and soldiers in the middle and a remote-controlled weapons station mounted on the roof of the vehicle. The vehicle has a length of 6m, a width of 2.54m, a height of 2.4m, and a total weight of 15 tons. This vehicle can carry up to 8 soldiers including the driver and commander.
The vehicle’s body is armored according to NATO’s STANAG 4569 level 3 standards, meaning it can withstand 7.62mm armor-piercing bullets at a distance of 30m as well as small arms, mines and artillery fragments.
K-4386 is equipped with an EPOCH remote-controlled weapon station that integrates a 30mm 2A4 rapid-fire artillery system and a 7.62mm PKTM coaxial machine gun. This weapon station is mounted on the roof of the vehicle and has a protective shield, helping to ensure the safety of the operator. According to Russian experts, the K4386 can also be equipped with a Drok 82mm self-propelled mortar with a range of 6km.
Using a 450 horsepower diesel engine and 9-speed gearbox, K-4386 can move at a maximum speed of 100km/h and an operating range of 1,000km.
With outstanding advantages in armoring capabilities and mobility along with being equipped with diverse weapons, the K-4386 Typhoon VDV armored vehicle is one of the best airborne armored vehicles in the world.
