Justice Center works completed

The rehabilitation works of the property that will house the new Municipal Justice Center are completed and the equipment is missing for its delivery and start-up, which will be in a period of one or two months.

Mayor Román Alberto Cepeda González, reported that the Municipal Court of Justice of Torreón will be the only one in the country to apply the Approved System of Civic Justice with the advice of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and in incorporate the Mandela and Bangkok rules to strengthen human rights.

He pointed out that, due to the dimensions and proportions of this new building, adequate furniture and equipment is required for each of the areas, in order to provide an adequate service to citizens.

Cepeda González highlighted that the last inspection visit of USAID representatives was recently held at the Municipal Justice Court, after all the requirements in this accompaniment process have been satisfactorily met, for the application of the Approved Justice System. Civic.

THE CONTRACT WAS EXPANDED

In compliance with different requirements and observations, the contract for the rehabilitation of the property occupied by the General Hospital and where the new Municipal Justice Center will be located was extended in time and budget, reported the director of Public Works, Juan Adolfo Von Bertrab Saracho.

He stated that the work is already completed after said requirements and details that were additionally detected were met.
