Júlio Pinto presents “Shapes and Size” at Galeria Tamar Golan

An exhibition called “Shapes and Sizes”, by the Angolan artist, Júlio Pinto, will be presented to the public on the 20th of this month, at 6pm, at Galeria Tamar Golan, in Luanda.

According to the statement that Notícias de Angola had access to this Wednesday, it states that the sample will be on view until the 17th of September this year, and can be visited from Monday to Friday, in the contemporary art gallery of the Fundação Arte e Cultura , on the Island of Luanda.

Born in Luanda, Júlio Pinto is a multidisciplinary visual artist (comics, video, photography, illustration and 2D animation) with a degree in Visual Arts from Estúdio Olindomar.

The artist regularly exhibits with LUANDA CARTOON since its establishment in Angola and internationally, and his work is part of private and public collections.

He is the creator of the official mascot of the Angolan National Police. Founder of the page Entre Artistas, and member of the organization of the international comics festival LUANDA CARTOON, since 2007.

Graduated in fine arts from the Instituto Superior de Ciências da Educativas do Douro (ISCE) Portugal- Porto.

The Tamar Golan Gallery, from Fundação Arte e Cultura, is an innovative and alternative, non-profit cultural project that aims to promote Angolan visual arts and support young emerging talents in the visual arts.
