Julio ‘Coyote’ Rivera assures that Paolo Guerrero will retire at Alianza Lima

The brother of Peruvian striker, Paolo Guerrero, reveals that his future could be in Alianza Lima after parting ways with César Vallejo. In addition, he confesses his role in keeping the scorer in professional football.

Julio ‘Coyote’ Rivera, brother of Paolo Guerrero and former player of Sporting Cristal, has made important statements about the future of the Peruvian striker. In a recent interview for the program “Con Calle Pablito” on YouTube, Rivera said that his brother, currently a player for the César Vallejo club, will retire at Alianza Lima, a club that has always been in his heart and that of his family.

Rivera expressed his confidence that Guerrero will finish his career at the La Victoria club, despite the difficulties he is currently facing with his contract with César Vallejo. “I know that he will retire at Alianza, because his heart is at Alianza, just like the whole family,” said Rivera, although he also added with humor that he is a fan of Sporting Cristal.

In the context of his contract with César Vallejo, Paolo Guerrero presented a case before the Disputes Chamber of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), and his future at the Trujillo club depends on the resolution issued by this body. Julio Rivera also revealed unknown details about Guerrero’s recent career decisions. According to his testimony, Paolo was on the verge of quitting football before fulfilling his contract with César Vallejo. “Paolo no longer wanted to come and play. It was I who motivated him to keep his word and move forward,” Rivera confessed.

The possibility of Paolo Guerrero joining Alianza Lima has generated expectations among the blue and white fans. Alianza coach Mariano Soso has publicly praised the forward, although he has been cautious when commenting on a possible arrival of the player, pointing out that Guerrero is still under contract with César Vallejo.
