Access to justice is a constitutional right of the people. Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan commented that the Judiciary Department is more dynamic than before to ensure the right of people.
He said these things to the reporters after inaugurating the newly constructed restroom ‘Nayakunj’ for the aspirants of the Naogaon District and Sessions Judge Court on Tuesday (June 25) afternoon.
He said that those who come to the court for the protection of the law do not come with a happy mind, they come in danger. 64 restrooms are being constructed in 64 districts under the initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of the Bangladesh government thinking about these vulnerable people.
Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan said, those who come to take service can rest temporarily by sitting in ‘Nayakunj’. Inside the ‘Nayakunj’, mothers can breastfeed their babies if they want. As a result of temporary respite, the complexity of the trial will gradually decrease and the judicial system will move towards further progress.
At that time, High Court Judge Sardar Rashed Jahangir, Naogaon Senior District and Sessions Judge (Judge) Abu Shamim Azad, Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal-2 Judge Mehdi Hasan Talukder, District Administrator Golam Mawla, Superintendent of Police Muhammad Rashidul Haque, District Lawyers Association President Advocate Rafiqul Islam Bachchu, General Secretary Advocate Mostafizur Rahman Feroz along with officers and employees of various levels of judiciary and administration were present.
Later, the Chief Justice planted a sapling of a budul flower tree in the court premises.
