Judge orders arrest of former security agent allegedly involved in Ayotzinapa case

MEXICO CITY (process.com.mx).- A federal judge ordered the arrest of Liobardo Alarcón de la Cruz, former member of the Secretariat of Public Security of the State of Guerrero, accused of allegedly collaborating with the Guerreros Unidos, a group identified as responsible for the disappearance of the 43 normalistas from Ayotzinapa.

Federal sources confirmed that the Second District Judge of Federal Criminal Proceedings in the State of Mexico, Raquel Ivette Duarte Cedillo, granted the arrest warrant requested by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) in criminal case 15/2022.

To this end, the FGR indicated that the protected code name “Carla” declared that the police officer was the liaison with the criminal organization and with various cells of the criminal group.

“Carla” is one of the FGR’s main witnesses in this new stage of investigation of the Ayotzinapa case, in which the federal public ministry has refused to keep alive the version of the so-called historical truth put forward by the former Attorney General, Jesús Murillo Karam.

Before being a collaborating witness of the FGR, “Carla” was a member of the Guerreros Unidos where she had falcon duties.

His testimony has helped the FGR obtain arrest warrants against soldiers who supposedly protected the organization that operates in the state of Guerrero.
