Judge ordered the release of “Don Rodo”, brother of “El Mencho”

MEXICO CITY (process.com.mx).–Due to irregularities in the detention, a control judge at the federal prison in Almoloya, State of Mexico ordered the release of Abraham “N”, alias “Don Rodo”, brother of Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

After a hearing that lasted more than 18 hours, the control judge determined that the authorities’ reports on how the arrest of “Don Rodo” occurred do not coincide with the reality shown by his defense through videos, testimonies and the statement of a private doctor.

During the continuation of the initial hearing – which began yesterday and concluded this morning – the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) presented expert reports to support the accusation made last week for carrying firearms for the exclusive use of the Army and possession of more than two thousand fentanyl pills that he reportedly carried in a fanny pack.

In addition, he presented the approved police report carried out by the elements of the National Guard (GN) who on April 21 at dawn arrested the brother of “Mencho” who stated that they were circulating through the streets of the municipality of Autlán de Navarro in the state of Jalisco when three people ran when they saw them.

Therefore, the elements indicated that a persecution began resulting from which Abraham “N” was arrested, from whom firearms and fentanyl pills were seized.

However, the videos and testimonies presented by the defense did not coincide with this version of the authorities, so the control judge ordered the release of the accused due to irregularities in the detention.
