Juan Collado charges charges for tax fraud and now only has one charge left for embezzlement

MEXICO CITY (apro).- Lawyer Juan Collado filed an accusation for tax fraud for 36.7 million pesos, so there is only one case for embezzlement initiated by the Attorney General’s Office of the state of Chihuahua.

Yesterday, Judge Gustavo Aquiles Villaseñor, assigned to the Federal Criminal Justice Center of the Reclusorio Norte, canceled the process that was initiated against Collado by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) for tax fraud in the 2015 financial year by concluding that the crime had already prescribed .

In this process, the FGR had already presented its written accusation in which it requested that he be sentenced to nine years in prison and pay compensation for the damage of the 36.7 million pesos that the treasury demanded from the lawyer.

In this accusation, the FGR indicated that in 2015, Collado declared income of 74 million 869 thousand 347 pesos, but the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) determined that in reality he obtained 182 million 827 thousand 782 pesos, so He owed an ISR payment of 36 million 786 thousand 881 pesos.

The Prosecutor’s Office can challenge Aquiles Villaseñor’s decision before a Collegiate Court of Appeal.

Meanwhile, the only matter he has in force is the one initiated by the Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office against him for embezzlement, in which Collado negotiated a reparation agreement through which he was obliged to pay 13.7 million pesos within a period of 30 days.

For this matter to be concluded, the lawyer must guarantee the reparation of the damage to which he agreed to pay.
