“In order to improve community welfare, WIUPK originating from former PKP2B areas can be offered on a priority basis to Business Entities owned by Religious Community Organizations,” reads Article 5A quoted from the regulation.
The religious community organization must meet the criteria and have organs that carry out economic activities and aim to empower the economy of members and the welfare of the community/religious community. The mining business permit offer is valid for a period of 5 years since the regulation comes into effect.
“The WIUPK offer as referred to in paragraph (1) is valid for a period of 5 (five) years from the time Government Regulation Number 25 of 2024 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 96 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Mineral and Coal Mining Business Activities comes into effect,” the regulation reads.
Later, the Minister of Sector Development delegates the authority to determine, offer, and grant WIUPK to the minister/head of the agency that organizes government affairs in the field of investment/investment coordination as the head of the Task Force. Based on the WIUPK, the head of the Task Force determines, offers, and grants WIUPK to Business Entities owned by Religious Community Organizations.
“Based on the granting of WIUPK as referred to in paragraph (2), the Business Entity owned by a Religious Community Organization submits an application for IUPK via the OSS System,” the regulation reads.
