President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping touched on the issue of Taiwan during a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden, reminded that the US should not “cross the red line” and stressed that Beijing will not tolerate separatist activities in Taiwan, as well as foreign support.

It is also noted that Xi Jinping criticized the measures of the US administration aimed at stifling the development of China’s economy, trade and science.
According to media reports, the Chinese leader particularly criticized the US administration’s “endless efforts” aimed at preventing the transfer of advanced technologies to China.
“We must give priority to stability. We must not create problems, we must not cross lines, we must maintain the stability of US-China relations,” Chinese television quoted Xi Jinping as saying.
The Associated Press noted that this was the first conversation between Xi Jinping and Biden since last November, when the leaders held talks in California.
