During the meeting, the ministers expressed satisfaction with the upward development of relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, based on ethnic, historical, cultural and religious roots, and emphasized the importance of raising comprehensive strategic partnership relations to a higher level.
In the meeting, the issues arising from the regular high-level contacts between the two countries, the issues of expanding cooperation in political, socio-economic, energy, humanitarian, education, tourism, transport, agriculture and other fields were discussed.
The parties, not only on the bilateral level, but also on the international and regional platforms, emphasized the issues of cooperation and mutual support, and noted the importance of further diversification of cooperation based on brotherhood and solidarity within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the contribution of our brother Uzbekistan to the large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in the region during the post-conflict period, the secondary school named after Mirza Ulugbey, built in Fuzuli, was highly appreciated by our state and people.
The ministers also emphasized the importance of intensifying the work of the consultation mechanism between the MFAs of the two countries, further expanding the contract-legal base.
The meeting also discussed other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
